A Little More…

I create because I love visual storytelling. Illustration allows me to explore the unique personalities of characters, the textures of landscapes, and the spirit of the coast, guided by curiosity and a sense of exploration. Choosing to work independently is a natural extension of the way I enjoy living and working.

My art spans a variety of mediums, each offering its own balance of precision and spontaneity. Fine line pen allows for delicate detail, watercolour brings fluid unpredictability, acrylic delivers bold texture, and digital illustration gives me the freedom to experiment and take my studio anywhere. Across paper, canvas, apparel, and surfboards, my work blends stylized details, organic colour palettes, nature-inspired textures, and the coastal spirit I’ve always loved.

I’ve built a full-time career as a freelance artist and designer, collaborating with brands and organizations such as Patagonia, HSBC, BC Ferries, Buff, Surf Canada, and the Surfrider Foundation. My work includes designing two Olympic collector pins for the Canadian Surf Team and six coins for the Royal Canadian Mint, including the 2023 circulation loonie honouring Elsie MacGill. I work across illustration, branding, typography, and children’s books, always aiming to create pieces that connect, inspire, and endure.

When I’m not in the studio, I’m outdoors cycling, trail running, hiking, or just walking the dog. Exploration and independence guide how I move through the world, and that same mindset informs everything I create.
